Nik's Elef

Please focus right- right in the center, and not the two studs. yes, the cool 'Elef' which was gifted to Nik on his birthday. Venue- classic 'CTR' while we were have its famous dosas. elef was picked up from Mumbai, by Poonam- despite she already bought a different gift ( the story goes..she went back to the first shop, and dramatically enacted that she was just informed that her husband had already bought the gift, and hence was helpless, and need to return the gift. The shop keeper- some lallu bought the story, and thus Elef, landed on Nik's Lap, and subsequently on to the rear dash-board of his Elantra. (well thats what he's promised..lets see)

FLASH BACK- 2008-2007

CALCUTTA- DEC 07- Gorakh's wedding........just me and poonam,,,and only on the way back, did it realise that there were other people too, with us.....
In order to substantiate my earlier point- "so many things have happened in so little time". A quick tour of the last 15 months- something which you will kill me, if i say i didnt enjoy.
CATCHING UP FRIENDS- Though i am not thoroughly happy about the way i have managed meeting up with my friends- I can take some solace in the fact that i have atleast struggled to meet up a few.
OPEN AIR THEATRE- Bangalore. Few of the shot of My fav place- at various spots, seasons. Looks as if the city want to speak to us, but in a language we can barely understand, least be awed by it.
SHIRDI TRIP: Aug 07- Poonam joined us from Mumbai, was a nice neat family trip.
MY OFFICE- We moved in to a swanky, bright office last Oct but cant help the typical sterotype layout, and furniture
ROAD TRIP- A four day road trip in Nov 07, took us to my village, the world-famous Jog Falls. Out of the 1000 kms, i single handedly drove about 850 kms. Was an amazing break, and lot of deja-vu, given that i was visiting my village after 8 years.
ROAD TRIP- To a small hilltown called Devarayanadurga, about 80 kms from our house. Its special because, it was only the previous day in early August, i learnt to drive my car- and i drove all the way to and back to my house. The first time is always the best time.
Last May 07, my best cousin got married. was the official amatuer photographer. Shot more than 500 shots in the wedding. Had an amazing time, given the fact that it was the first marriage i was attending after a gap of 5 years.
PREETAM WEDDING- In a whirlwind of events, my brother got married last July. the whole thing was conceptualised and executed in just three weeks. The best part was Poonam too had come down with her family and we managed to spend some time together. Post wedding in Bangalore, we also went to Chirala, a town in Andhra Pradesh, where my sis-in-law belongs, for a reception. Had a gala of a time.
GIZMOes, gizmoes.....well this craze of mine continued too...bought 500 gig Hard disk, digital distance meter,,,1.5gig RAM, Sony Digicam,,,HTC touch,,,so on and so forth,,,,,,,,am glad that it is still continuing
KODAIKANAL TRIP- June 08- THE MOST PERFECT TRIP I HAVE EVER BEEN TO
ANNUAL FAMILY getogether- was in Dec 07, wherein we visited a family temple near Coorg, and on the way back, stopped at Balamuri Falls, downstream from the KRS dam. It was just pure fun, watching all elders becoming kids again......
BHOOMI PUJA of a 500 crore project- a project which I helped pitch and win for my office. A proud moment of success after 9 months of Hard negotiations.....
CRICKET CHAMPIONS- In Spa Delhi, i was a member of the losing team, in the finals of the Courtyard cricket. But this time, it was meant not to be. We won the inter-office Corporate Cricket. I helped see my team to the final, by batting all the way through 20 overs in the semi-finals, and the Finals , was cake-walk.
PULSAR- Yes, did add this amazing bike to my kitty- May 07
NIK NIGHT OUTS- Typical of the nightout with my friend Nik. Atleast 5 nights in a month, are spent in the above manner.
PRAMOD's HOUSE- The pictures say it all...........
ROAD TRIP- Again to Devarayanadurga, but wiht Poonam in Feb 08, when she had come to bangalore for all the wedding shopping........Also met Priya at her place.
FIRE FLIES FESTIVAL- Managed to go to this amazing music festival last April. Happens every year, one whole night, about 12-15 music performances of all possible genres.
CHENNAI - MAHABALIPURAM- With Nik this Jan. occassion was my friend Pramod's wedding in Chennai. Managed to seek in to these two places too....All in all a well planned trip

BAWARCHI BHARATH- Well cooked a full course Non- veg lunch- for 75 ppl, on occassion of a puja, which kick-started my Marriage festivities- FEb 07.
MUMBAI AIRPORT- Managed to meet Poonam at the airport, when on a one-day official visit to mumbai. The mug is my Valentine gift to Poonam

Need to get back.....

Phew!!!! what a journey its been since the day i returned to Bangalore15 months back- a non-stop rollercoaster ride- both on professional as well as personal front. My goodness- am i not even able to recollect what all i have been through..seems so much has happened in last 15 months, and nothing at all has happened prior to Apr 2007. I realise that there was hardly any time for me to stand still and stare,,something which i used to do in abundance and at will, in the last 5 years...seems have just lost that whole time vacuum, which i love indulging in,,,and strongly feel- extremely necessary for my intellectual development....
I hate to classified under the group- which always whines...'life is busy, have no time for all these....', but frankly thats what my line has been , since the day i set foot back to my room in Malleswaram. Now is the honest attempt to actually, get back to the same groove- finding time for myself..get back to blogging my life, my thoughts- get the creativity lying dormant in my fingers- get back to all those things which were a part of my routine- ex-apr 07- though, i very well acknowlegdge, that i have travelled too far, in too little time.
